Murella melitensis (Férussac, 1821)

Non sono mai stato a Malta ma ho avuto occasione di effettuare scambi con studiosi del luogo e, da questi, ho avuto alcuni esemplari di Murella melitensis (Férussac, 1821). Inserisco pertanto anche questa specie fra quelle illustrate anche perché sembrerebbe strettamente legata alle specie siciliane.
Nella loro monografia sulle specie maltesi del 1995 F. Giusti e G. Manganelli, parlando della Murella melitensis ( Férussac, 1821) , constatano che la stessa, a livello morfologico esterno e anatomico, ha grandi affinità con M. globularis e M. muralis, tanto da affermare che, nel caso venisse confermata la con specificità fra M. melitensis e M. globularis e la diversità specifica d M. muralis, niente cambierebbe a livello nomenclaturale in quanto M. melitensis è precedente come descrizione, ma a questo punto , mi chiedo io, se , in caso di dimostrata con specificità , dovremo chiamare le M. globularis, M. melitensis?
Lasciamo questo ulteriore dubbio a chi vorrà risolverlo e limitiamoci ad illustrare un paio degli esemplari provenienti da Rabat a Malta e con questi, terminare la documentazione iconografica sul gruppo .

I have never been to Malta but I had the opportunity to trade with local scholars and, from these, I had some examples of Murella melitensis (Férussac, 1821).I post therefore also this species among those shown because apparently closely related species in Sicily.

In their monograph on the Maltese species of 1995 F. Giusti and G. Manganelli, speaking of Murella melitensis (Férussac, 1821), note that the same, at the morphological and anatomical external, has great affinity with M. globularis and M. muralis, much to say that, in the case were to be confirmed with the conspecificity between M. melitensis and M. globularis and specific diversity of M. muralis, nothing would change in nomenclatural level as M. melitensis is as above description, but at this point, I ask myself whether, if proved with specificity, we could call M. globularis, M. melitensis?
