Due cave interessanti  Due cave, più di altre, ci hanno chiarito le idee sulla provenienza delle sabbie e sulla relativa datazione.  La mappa di sinistra, quella al largo di Anzio (Roma, Italia), ci ha colpiti per la sua capacità di rendere visivamente, essendo stato visualizzato il rilevamento con tecniche radar, l'idea dello scavo effettuato. La mappa di destra, quella di Ravenna (Italia), chiarisce come la disponibilità di materiali adeguati ad un ripascimento non siano poi così abbondanti. Tenete presente che si è dovuto dragare a più di km 50 dalla costa.  Tutti i materiali idonei al ripascimento hanno origine subfossile e risalgono a circa 10.000 anni fa.

Two interesting quarries  Two quarries, more than others, we have clarified the ideas on the origin of the sand and on the relative dating.  The map on the left, the one off the coast of Anzio (Rome), impressed us for its ability to make visible, was displayed detection with radar techniques, the idea of the excavation carried out.
