Fossils
A specimen for collection
Italian law prohibits the collection and possession of fossils collected in the Italian soil. In order to expose a fine specimen in the Museum so we built one.
1) From a book on the fossils we photocopied a beautiful fish found in the famous quarry Bolca: the Ménéa rombea. With the method of the square we have enlarged at will.
2) we have prepared a container of cardboard of dimensions such as to contain the copy and we filled with a layer of plaster high approximately cm. 4
3) Leaving it to dry we got a plate on which we have traced irregular chalky our design. We then "scratched" in depth with screwdrivers, nails and various piunte.
4) is obtained as the "fossil footprint" we finished the work with a touch of art, staining the surface strofinandovi before tea and then the dark earth
